an eventful day... today was the SIB Exist Sports Day 2003.. for those who have no idea, "Exist" refers to the group of church members who are in the young adults, college and secondary school divisions... i played football and the relay race.. won silver for the relay, so that was great.. i got first for football (from the bottom) after losing to both the secondary school team and the young adults team.. but it was totally awesome! and i'm burned out..haha but as i mentioned to one of my friends, i find sports as possibly the best means to unite people... it's interesting to note the way sports enhances co-operation, teamwork and thus, unity... i made so many new friends today and strengthened friendships with other too.. i have to offer my congratulations to my teammates (though we lost 4-1 and 7-0..haha), most of them medic students from IMU.. also to the organising committee led by Ps. Kay... to the teams we played and the sportsmanship they showed us, esp from the young adults who offered us water and a consolation goal..haha..you guys did great!.. and also for the refs involved.. great work.. and also to my teammates at the relay race.. check this out: from last place to second place!! and to the girls' relay team for winning the gold..congrats to all!! now for the anti-climax of the games: i had a muscle cramp when finishing the second game.. i'm ok now..:) overall, i had a great day... now on to more football tomorrow! kick the ball, guys
